As 2023 comes to an end, we take a moment to look back and reflect on everything we’ve accomplished this far and continue to move forward. The journey of Bit.Country team expanded into a broader horizon, setting the stage for The Era of MNet (Metaverse.Network or MNet.io) — A scaled EVM & WASM network with an Enriched Social Layer.
Recap of 2023: Major Milestones and Achievements
⭐Unstoppable Blocks: MNet Pioneer produced more than 4.6 million blocks and enabled decentralized governance.
⭐Users in Action
- 1,172 Spaces have been created to date and conducted over 190,000+ meeting minutes through 5,608 Meetings engaged.
- 173,554 NFTs were minted on MNET’s Pioneer Chain making a total of 189,438 NFTs minted.
- 730 Metaverse Projects were launched, making it a total of 1,281 Metaverse Projects on the BitCountry Pioneer App
- As per Google Analytics, 71K Unique Users visited the Pioneer app in 2023 closing the year with 11K users visiting the app with a total of 39,124 sessions in December alone.
🌟Secured by Polkadot
We won the 46th Polkadot Parachain Lease auction for Continuum. (Bit.Country team has a sustainable plan to continuously stay connected and secured by Polkadot relaychain.)
⭐12 New Hirings
Scaled our tech team and expanded into Asia with 12 new hires for MNet expansion and maintaining a healthy runway.
⭐Ecosystem Provision
Hosted local meetups of our MVP incubator and planned out the future developer events— so far owning 2500 tech members in 5 cities and 4 countries (VN, AU, SG, NZ)
The Mission of MNet Expansion
As we developed a rich set of features for building communities in Bit.country super app, we continued expanding our platform with innovative applications, not only Bit.Country, but also strategic projects like:
BitAvatar, BitMeet, and the Social Pool Protocol, alongside developing the Enhanced Social Experience (ESE) Framework.
We found the inevitable demand of creating a scaled and interesting ecosystem 🌍 that can unlock the values of Web3 to the majority of existing web2 users. We will continue to expand, innovate, and bring in even more interesting apps for the ecosystem.
To reach wider audiences and developer communities with an easier-to-remember name, we call the ecosystem MNet (a short form of Metaverse.Network, or MNet.io). In this special time, we’d like to emphasize our mission ✍:
